Evidence & insights
Nia COACH evidence and insights: evidence before claims.
The controlled external Nia COACH pilot has closed in South Africa and the final evidence has been reconciled. This page is the canonical home for applied evidence notes, formal pilot findings, limitations and evidence-led insights as evaluation-readiness work continues.
Current evidence position
Pilot concluded. Final evidence review is underway.
The controlled external pilot has concluded and the final evidence record is now being reconciled before formal findings are published. Evidence gathered before the pause remains part of the validation record. Early signals are useful for product decisions and safety review, but they are not being presented as broad proof of effectiveness. Nia COACH has not yet demonstrated sustained engagement at scale, organisational return on investment, clinical effectiveness or broad commercial readiness.
What validation is examining
The pilot is testing more than whether people like the interface.
The evidence model looks at whether Nia COACH can provide useful, trustworthy and operationally responsible support over time.
Does the coaching help?
Whether conversations support clearer reflection, practical next steps and meaningful follow-through.
Does support carry forward?
Whether prior context, summaries and follow-ups create a coherent experience across sessions.
Do people understand the boundaries?
Whether privacy, human oversight, limitations and intended use are clear enough to support informed participation.
Does the system respond responsibly?
Whether coaching stays within its role and appropriate human review or escalation is supported where required.
Will people return and use it?
Whether participants can use short sessions naturally enough for an ongoing coaching rhythm to develop.
Can it be introduced responsibly?
Whether the pilot model provides useful oversight without turning private coaching into surveillance.
Evidence principles
What gets published must remain honest about what the pilot can—and cannot—show.
Limitations stay visible
Unresolved issues, mixed results and operational constraints are part of the evidence rather than details to hide.
Qualitative evidence is labelled correctly
Participant feedback and observed use can guide decisions, but they are not automatically generalisable research findings.
Safety and continuity count as outcomes
A useful response is not enough if the system cannot maintain context, explain its capabilities or support appropriate human review.
Claims follow verification
Public statements should follow production checks and evidence review rather than precede them.

Applied evidence notes and pilot findings, published as validation develops.
Published items appear automatically below. Each note is labelled and scoped to what the available evidence can support; formal findings and post-pilot synthesis will follow only when their evidence base is ready.
